In this post, I'd like to make a quick introduction to the Okuma THINC Developer's group and the mission of the group. The image above are a few of the TDG members at a recent meeting held at Okuma America in Charlotte, NC. To learn more about this group and how you can participate, click on the image or follow this link to an Okuma blog.
It's been an interesting ride to watch how CNC machine tool manufacturers have embraced open architecture in their CNC controls. Okuma has been a global leader in this area and has embraced a culture of end-user and partner development through their Partners in THINC efforts.
This website, along with several other sites we will share, has been a continuing effort for a core group of dedicated engineers, developers, technicians and enthusiasts to assist and encourage continued development of the Okuma API and the open architecture control. We encourage you to join us by participating in our online community and attending an upcoming THINC Developers group meeting.
